OTTO EROTIX REVIEWS

Hi there! Otto, here. I review sex toys for people with vaginas, buttholes and nipples!

About Me

about me

1.

I live in Montreal, Canada.

2.

I am a University Student. I'm currently completing my undergrad in English Literature with a Minor in Sexuality.

3.

My hobbies include reading books, painting, working out and masturbating.

4.

It took me over a decade to learn how to orgasm and I'm still learning to be friends with my hyper-sensitive clitoris.

Hi, I'm Otto!

For a long time I had a pretty ambivalent relationship with masturbating. Like most, I didn't really learn about how people with vulvas masturbated. What I saw girls doing in the internet porn available to me as a teen in the mid-90's, didn't produce in me the ecstatic pleasure it appeared to inspire in them. My clit almost hurt to touch, so after a while, I kind of started to ignore it. I favoured penetrative approaches to masturbation, and as a teenager, was always on the hunt for potential 'tools'. This blog, perhaps, comes as no surprise.

My first orgasm happened with a partner, penetratively, in the missionary position. My partner didn't even believe it had happened, which, to be fair is understandable (I had faked climaxes for years). I barely believed it. Everything I had heard while on my quest for orgasm told me that the vast majority of women (about 78%) can't achieve orgasm through penetrative sex alone, let alone in the saltine cracker of all sex positions, and especially without any direct clitoral stimulation! A couple nights later, in nearly identical circumstances, the feeling happened again. Needless to say, I was pretty pumped.

Excited as I was, I was also tremendously annoyed that I couldn't achieve orgasm without a partner with a dick. I didn't understand what it was about that position that worked, and therefore I couldn't apply it to other situations. This frustrated my non-penis-possessing partners to no end. I felt like my clit was a failure. I am a stubborn perfectionist, a fierce feminist and, at the time, an unreconciled tomboy. As such, I did more research, came up with a plan, bought a vibrator that looked like a dolphin, and set to work on getting myself to climax. A year later, it happened.

I have since developed a more appreciative relationship with my clit; partly through the work of some of amazing sex-positive blogs that exist these days, partly through owning a clit suction toy. I remain an enthusiastic auto-eroticist and this website will document my impressions of the various toys I discover on my journey! I hope my writings can help normalize masturbation for people with vulvas, and help to de-stigmatize the use of sex toys.

Safe toys are

sexy toys

Safety First, Kiddos. There is staggering variety of toys on the market, and not all of them should find their way into your pleasure posse. I was so nervous when I walked into my first sex shop. My hands were sweaty, I was blushing, and I absolutely did not want any of the sales associates to help me. Before long, I left, trying to look as casual as a ginger teen leaving a sex store possibly can. This scenario would play out a few times before I ended up walking out with my first toy: an older version of Diva Dolphin, by Fun Factory. I had researched what brands could be trusted, and came well recommended, and Fun Factory showed up. I liked their branding, their non-realistic toys and their emphasis on safety and fun. It was with Dolly that I had my first solo orgasm.

I didn't know at the time, but some toys are impossible to clean properly because of their invisible pores that collect gunk and grow bacteria, or that some toys are so toxic that people occasionally get chemical burns. Not something you want to be rubbing in, or around, your fabulous genitals!

Being armed with the basics can go a long way to helping you choose the right toy.
