Hi Folks,

Today I'll be talking about the Icicles No. 48 Hand Blown Glass Butt Plug in Pink.

Icicles No. 48 Hand Blown Glass Butt Plug

This plug is made from pyrex glass, which is a super-strong, body-safe material that plays well with any kind of lube.

It is 3.5 inches long, with 3 inches of insertable length. The plug features a bulb shaped head with a maximum circumference of 4 inches and a gently pointed tip for ease of insertion. This toy has a slender, tapered neck which makes it comfy for beginner booty players. The base is a wide, circular blossom that prevents this toy from getting lost in your tush!

Cute booty bling that also prevents the toy from slipping too far into your tush with its flared base!

The first time I heard about glass toys, I was totally put off by the horrific potential. I imagined something cold, fragile and intrusive. A friend gushed about the silky texture, and how glass quickly adapts to body temperature, and eventually, my curiosity got the better of me.

Oh, the joy of glass booty toys. I purchased a glass dildo prior to this that I enjoy, primarily for externally stimulating my vulva and clitoris, and I do like it...but it simply does not compare to my affection for Blossom here.

I should first say that I am a anxious anal explorer. I've periodically (wink wink) had anal sex to varying degrees of enjoyment for years. Up until last year, I'd say my relationship with butt stuff was erotic in theory, but in practice, it ranged from painful to boring.

In my current partnership, my butt has found its perfect penile pal. A ton of communication, a better understanding of how much lube is required (so much) and a heaping helping of patience has yielded some fantastic butt pleasures, and had led me to become curious about butt plugs.

Enter Blossom. I'm a sucker for aesthetics, and I was delighted by the image of my fabulous derrière sporting some booty bling and so opted for the 48 over some slimmer plugs made by Icicles. The neck is about the thickness of my pinky finger, and the bulb is about the size of a Concord grape at its thickest point. During insertion, the toy feels substantial, but not overwhelming. The glass is so completely without texture, that once coated in lube, it feels silky and cool in a way that is both soothing and very pleasant. I love wearing this toy in my tush while having any other kind of sex, especially penetrative vaginal sex. I can feel the weight of the plug lean on the wall of my rectum, brushing up against whatever is penetrating me. It creates a broad, round kind of pleasure that is enveloping without being all consuming.

Pointed tip and narrow neck make this a comfortable glass plug.

I very recently discovered that my favourite way to use this toy is after a good bit of anal ribbing, as a teeny tiny slow thrusting toy. Compared to silicone or skin, the thrusts provoke these little waves of cheering nerve endings, without some of the drag or grab of sensitive butthole skin that can make me wince and clench during butt play. Combined with some light touch or pressure around my vulva and I'm practically drooling in a state of erotic-massage fueled ecstasy.

I purchased mine from PinkCherry.ca during one of their fairly frequent 40% off sales, and they carry a ton of their products, but Icicles products are available to purchase at most sex-shops and online retailers.

I'm currently looking to add a larger glass plug to my anal arsenal, but as far as I'm concerned this toy is absolutely my booty's glass slipper. I'll keep you posted.

XoXo Otto
